Understanding DVR Security Cameras

As security becomes more interesting topic in today’s life, security system also gets more attention from society. One of the most popular security systems is DVR (digital video recorder) security systems.  A DVR is a device that accepts analog signals from a security camera, converts it into digital format, and stores it on a hard drive. The camera that is used in this system is called DVR security cameras. DVR security cameras transmit digital signals to a hard drive or a DVR security camera recorder. The DVR security system then uses these signals for documentation and detection procedures In order for the user to manage the captured videos; a DVR also has a user interface. This system allows you to set motion detection feature and control the cameras that are also popular by CCTV cameras.

DVR security camera systems display a clear and sharp image. They are perfectly scalable to your expanding number of security cameras. The most important feature of DVR security cameras is its easy navigation. With this feature, you can jump to any video without rewinding or forwarding. One other feature of DVR security cameras is motion detection. DVR security cameras enable you to see who is approaching your home at all times. DVR security cameras are also have remote access capabilities. It can view your home or business remotely from any computer with Internet access. DVR security cameras provide instant playback with no time-consuming rewinding or fast forwarding.

DVR security cameras also have some drawbacks. One of the drawbacks relate to its output. We may require different software to view the file of different security cameras. Some DVR security cameras only support certain media player.  On the other hand, some DVR security camera system has its own media player. Other drawback relates to storage capacity. Digital video occupies lot of space on the hard disk and hence the hard disk is easily filled up. If the camera adjustment is not done properly at the time of set up, image distortion occurs. This is the other drawback of DVR security cameras.

DVR security camera systems come with 24 bit true color video, hardware video compression for fast video delivery. DVR security camera systems also have their own virus care system disk on module and built in multiplexer function. They also have built in web server, e-mail and FTP server alarm notification. DVR security cameras also have recording by motion detection function and pre-alarm function. DVR security cameras vary from 4 camera channels and 1 audio channel to 16 camera channels and 16 audio channels.
