With so many digital video cameras in the market today, you might me confuse which one to choose. What type of security camera which suites my need? How many channels do I need? In order to make a right decision, you first have to identify what your need is from a digital video camera.

You will need a 4 channel digital video recorder, if you want to monitor 4 areas of your home, such as living room, kitchen, master bedroom, and the kid’s room. If you would like to watch more areas of your home, you off course need a digital video recorder which has more than 4 channels. If in doubt, try to consult a professional in order to make a right choice.

Every choice has its own consequence. The more channels you have in your digital video recorder system, the more disk space you will need. You also need more disk space if your digital video recorder system has more functions like night vision. Please keep in mind those digital video recorders with large storage capacities are considerably very expensive So, before you buy a digital video recorder with lots of disk space, you have to make sure to get a digital video recorder that match storage needs.
